CHOCOLATE CAKE

3 1/2 c. flour
3 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. unsweetened chocolate powder
3 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
3 c. water
1 c. butter
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
Blend wet ingredients. Add dry ingredients. Do not over mix. Place into a
greased and floured pan. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or
until cake springs back when touched. NOTE: Time will vary with pan size.

  6. Pour the entire mixture into your prepared baked pie shell. Cover the pie plate and place into the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours to chill and to firm up. Garnish with some whipped cream before serving if desired.
